engines;
The engine
on the 2004 2005 and this years 2004 2005 BMW M3 convertible and coupe is as
follows; a 3.2-liter dual overhead cam (DOHC) 24-valve inline 6-cylinder engine
with double-VANOS variable valve timing 6 individual throttles, electronically
controlled (drive-by-wire), with M Dynamic Driving Control and Digital Motor
Electronics with on-board diagnostics, electronic ignition system with a
6-speed manual transmission with heavy-duty clutch.
On the 2004
2005 BMW M5 the engine and power aspects are as follows; a 5-liter dual
overhead cam, 32 valve aluminum 90° V8 engine with double-VANOS variable valve
timing including 8 individual throttles the engine is electronically
controlled. BMW M Driving Dynamics Control with 2 settings and a G sensitive
semi-dry lubrication system. Oil coolant heat exchanger and BMW's Digital Motor
Electronics with onboard diagnostics are also standard. The new 2004 2005 BMW
M5 also comes with a cylinder-specific knock control 6-speed manual
transmission with heavy-duty clutch. You have to say WOW!
The new 2004 2005 BMW M Series will come with an
optional Double Spoke forged and polished alloy wheels, 19 x 8 front, 19 x 9.5
rear; 225/40ZR 19 front performance tires, 255/35ZR 19 rear performance tires.
If you opt
for the convertible M3 there is an optional hardtop available which is a
body-colored hardtop with integrated rear window defroster, retractable coat
hooks, and individual reading lights front and rear.
