All new 2004 2005 Ford
Escape SUV's come with these standard interior features; removable rear seat
cushion, manual air conditioning, instrument cluster with luminescent white
faced gauges, tachometer and warning signals. The new wipers and defroster
offer front variable intermittent for the wipers and rear 2-speed and rear
defroster. On the interior of the new Ford Escape there is now rear floor heat
ducts and a low valence panel storage bin. For safety Ford has included a belt
reminder for the driver’s side seat and illuminated entry with passenger assist
handles there are four in front and two in the rear. Power door locks with 2
keyless remotes and with 2 step unlocking feature. The windows have solar tint
glass with gradient tint on windshield.
New 2004 2005 Ford Escape
exterior features includes a 3 color tail lamps and aerodynamic halogen
headlamps, stop light, center high mount. The liftgate with flip up glass is
also included. Some of the new Escapes feature a multi functional roof rack
with a 100 lb. maximum capacity this is not available on XLT Sport 4x4. The
fuel tank on the new Ford SUV's holds 16 gallons. 4-wheel independent
suspension Control Trac 4WD system is standard on the Ford Escape 4x4's only.
For safety Ford has included in all of the new 2004 2005 Escapes a 3 point
shoulder belt system for rear outboard seats, lap belt rear center seat and
second generation driver and right front passenger airbags. For strength Ford
has added on it's new Escape side impact door beams and color keyed manual
three point shoulder belt systems with pretensioners and adjustable D ring,
driver and front passenger SecuriLock and a passive antitheft system with
remote keyless entry.
Tow engines are available
for the 2004 2005 Ford Escape SUV's. The first engine that is standard on the
Escape XLT and 2004 2005 Escape Limited, is the 3.0L Duratec V6 engine with
4-speed automatic transmission produces 201 horsepower @ 5900 rpm and 196
lb.-ft. of torque @ 4700 rpm. The other engine option on the 2004 2005 Ford
Escape XLS is the 2.0L DOHC Zetec I4 engine puts out 127 horsepower @ 5400 rpm
and 135 lb.-ft. of torque @ 4500 rpm.
